Bama may win, but it's not like Georgia asked for them to get in. We would certainly have preferred they did not. I wish we were playing a team like Ohio State that we rarely play (similar to the Rose Bowl vs OU). If we lost to Ohio State, we'd still be SEC Champions with bragging rights in the region. Losing to Alabama kind of kills all of that, like LSU's 2011 SEC Championship.
The rest of country should be cheering for us. Bama winning more Championships will only make them continue to get the benefit of the doubt. Bama did not get in because of SEC bias, they got in because of Bama bias. They have been favored in every game except 1 since 2010, and they've obviously lost much more than that. Ohio State gets the same bias over everyone else, except Bama. Bama has earned it by winning when given the benefit of the doubt, and it takes having them lose a few more for that to end. I can promise you that if Auburn was in the SEC East and Bama won a rematch in the SEC Championship Game, we would not have gotten in over Ohio State. In the peak of SEC bias in 2007, we fell from #4 to #5 (despite the numbers 1 and 2 teams losing) in the final weekend because Kentucky missed a field goal against Tennessee the previous week (costing us the division).
