It wouldn't have made a difference in the top 2.

FSU lost out on being #1 because EB put them #7. FSU finished 4 points behind Alabama, so even if he had put them #2, that would be an extra 5 points, putting them 1 point ahead of Alabama. If he'd ranked them #3, they would be tied for first with Bama.
