We got the ban that deferred our streak. We didn't go to a bowl because of invites in 85. Last time that happened. 90 we had bowl bans so we didn't get to go so our streak technically started then.

Yeah but that was only because we played "academically ineligible" players, not because our violations were so egregious. Still, doesn't affect our bowl appearance streak. We still went to all those bowls, just didn't win them all.
