Bama may win, but it's not like Georgia asked for them to get in. We would certainly have preferred they did not. I wish we were playing a team like Ohio State that we rarely play (similar to the Rose Bowl vs OU). If we lost to Ohio State, we'd still be SEC Champions with bragging rights in the region. Losing to Alabama kind of kills all of that, like LSU's 2011 SEC Championship.

The rest of country should be cheering for us. Bama winning more Championships will only make them continue to get the benefit of the doubt. Bama did not get in because of SEC bias, they got in because of Bama bias. They have been favored in every game except 1 since 2010, and they've obviously lost much more than that. Ohio State gets the same bias over everyone else, except Bama. Bama has earned it by winning when given the benefit of the doubt, and it takes having them lose a few more for that to end. I can promise you that if Auburn was in the SEC East and Bama won a rematch in the SEC Championship Game, we would not have gotten in over Ohio State. In the peak of SEC bias in 2007, we fell from #4 to #5 (despite the numbers 1 and 2 teams losing) in the final weekend because Kentucky missed a field goal against Tennessee the previous week (costing us the division).

I think everyone who isn't a GT/UF fan wants UGA to win.

Yea we def not cheering for UGA. Plus Bama never loses to pro style teams. It's basically a guaranteed win for Saban in most cases. Georgia is very good though...so may get interesting

I want Alabama to win to throw a monkey wrench in the dysfunctional bullshit conference system and playoff system: CCGs shouldn't be rematches, nor should bowl games, nor should conference non-champs be allowed into the CFP.

Two best records in the conference play for a CCG. If it's a rematch, the regular season winner gets to face the next-best conference foe, etc. until there's no rematch. Ideally the BCS would be brought back, but the next best thing would have the 4 highest-ranked conference champions play. Not that fucking hard, but the NCAA and committee are failures.

Maybe if the game already happened, just don't play the Conference Championship game. Or give the winner of the regular season matchup the option to either play the team again, or play the highest-ranked team in the other division that they haven't played.

How would that have played out. You had 3 teams at 7-1 in SEC play. Assume Auburn is in since they beat the other 2, would you have put South Carolina in title game? I'd rather watch a rematch. Divisions work. We only play 2 SEC West teams a year. You win your division by beating the teams you play every year that are in your division.

Yes. Mulligans shouldn't happen in CFB. At the very least, they shouldn't judge the series by who won last. Based on aggregate score in the two Auburn-UGA games, Auburn should've been named the SEC champs because 47 > 45.
