Lamarcus Joyner on Miami

“Gotta embrace the challenge,” Florida State cornerback Lamarcus Joyner said after the victory. “We know what kind of football team they are. We know for a fact if we have to play those guys again in the ACC championship, then it won’t be an easy championship game.”

Joyner called Miami “the toughest team we’ve played this season. Despite the scoreboard, that does not determine the way, how physical those guys played us. Those guys played our hearts out, and if we have to see them again in the championship, I can tell you that’s going to be a pretty hard-nosed championship game.”

but in their defense, they (FSU) might not have been up for that game. It does happen. Plus, they played BC in Mass. Points don't always mean "easiest".

When it comes to the point of attack, per down, it's easier to see how Miami would be a tougher team.

FSU is a better team, top to bottom, but if the ref hadn't stopped that one broken play....and if Morris hit Coley earlier on that one play, those would have been 2 likely scores.....making it a closer game.

FSU was clearly better and they shut it down in the 4th...only running up the gut and choosing to kick field goals. THey could have scored more on us, if they really had to.
