List your most underrated movies

Postby FuckESPNdotCOM » October 26th, 2014, 1:08 am

I'm bored, so here are some movies that I think are under-appreciated (in no particular order)
1. Transformers (2007): Say what you want about the sequels, but the first one was a pretty good movie and since the sequels came out it seems to have slid in public favor.
2. The Island (2006): Another Michael Bay movie that people seem to have just forgotten but I think it's a pretty good movie that nobody ever talks about.
3. The Sixth Day (2000): Similar to The Island but a pretty damn good action/sci-fi flick that nobody really talks about.
4. Camp Nowhere (1994): Just a good nostalgia movie... for me anyway. You old guys are probably too old to appreciate it.
5. The Emperor's Club (2002): Awesome Kevin Klein movie with Emile Hirsch just killing it as the villain.
6. Jingle All the Way (1996): Classic Christmas movie, IMO.
7. Sex Drive (2008): Just another enjoyable movie plus the unrated version is one of the more interesting unrated cuts of a movie I've ever seen.
8. Year One (2009): I thought it was going to be shit but it's a funny movie, good popcorn flick.
9. Dodgeball (2004): Got overshadowed/crowded out by Napoleon Dynamite

That's a terrible list. Get better taste.

I thought Inception was one of the most overrated films of all time. It was good, but not great. Honestly it had better effects than plot. DiCaprio has been in some really good movies.

Which reminds me, if you want to see a bad movie, see Titanic II. It was on Netflix for a while and it's just funny how stupid it is. The fake trailer before the movie was thought of on Youtube is actually better.

I wouldn't have disliked inception so much if I didn't hear how deep and hard to understand it was. I immediately knew the old Asian guy from the first scene or whenever it was was the young Asian guy they introduced later. I didn't think the deepest thing they could do was a dream... Inside a dream.... Inside a dream!?.... Bunch of dumb people must have posted about it here and reviewed it other places cuz it was not at all hard to follow

I was the same way. People were posting on IMDB about how fucking hard to follow it was when it was mostly pretty fucking simple. It made me "I don't want to live on this planet anymore."
