Yzerman wants St. Louis value of 3-4 years ago. Not gonna get it now though. Rumor is he would want Cally and a top prospect and/or a high draft pick in return for St. Louis. Rangers will need to look elsewhere for a trade. I'd look at the AV's for Statsny or Buffalo for Moulson.

I love him as GM. Dude has made good move after good move. This move was forced, at worst we lost St. Louis for nothing..even if Callahan doesn't resign we got two good picks out of it. We had no option of retaining Louis and he wanted to go to the Rangers...can't think he could have done a better job in the situation he was put in.

I saw the 2nd round pick is conditional, the first wasn't.

Sometimes making no moves is better than making a flurry of moves.

Like you said, your boys are in first by a wide margin so no need to make a move if it isn;t completely necessary.

Getting a goalie would have been my priority in Pitt, I'm sure they've been shopping but other teams may have been asking too much in return :dunno
