Is it being spun to be manipulative? Why would we stop cyber security against anybody?

You need to quit watching CNN and MSNBC.

I would venture to guess since we don't know the details that we were doing offensive cyber attacks and hack attempts against them and it was probably brought up in peace negotiations, probably both sides agreeing to stop hack attempts.

That doesn't mean we can't be doing defense still which they said we are and nothing has changed on that. You realize the CIA/NSA and other agencies fuck around with everyone including our own citizens right?

“There is no greater priority to Secretary Hegseth than the safety of the Warfighter in all operations, to include the cyber domain,” the official told NBC News.

The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, which is housed in the Department of Homeland Security, said in a statement that it's "mission is to defend against all cyber threats to U.S. Critical Infrastructure, including from Russia. There has been no change in our posture."

This.

Who is actually saying we're "stopping cyber security against Russia"? :crazy

Or maybe Trump is a super-secret Russian agent, and Putin is actually the POTUS. But wait, isn't Elon Musk president?

Ugh... it's all so confusing! :banghead

But seriously, I don't know why we would do this unless Russia did the same. :dunno

I don’t watch either. I don’t watch any cable news. :wave2

It’s called reading articles on the internet.

The White House is reportedly dropping Russia from its list of threats to cybersecurity and is instead honing in on China, part of the Trump administration’s apparent broader effort to curry favor with the Kremlin and push for a peace deal that would end the country’s ongoing war in Ukraine.

According to The Guardian, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has received a new list of directives that largely omit Russia as a threat to monitor. Part of the Department of Homeland Security, CISA monitors cyber threats made to the United States.

These directives were listed out in a memo, which singled out China and the protection of local systems as priorities, according to the newspaper. The document, however, failed to mention Russia—despite the country previously being a seminal focus at the agency.

“BUT MY MSNBC!!”

PS: Trump is elected president but he’s Musks bitch.

Fucking hypocrites complaining about Zelensky not wearing a suit, but love that Musk looks like a fucking loser in the white house with the way he dresses. :biglol

Richest man in the world has access to the white house and anything he wants and y’all celebrate it. :facepalm

It’s also good that they are crashing the stock market, so the wealthy can become more wealthy when they buy it all up.

Fuck the normal day citizens. Tariffs are sooo good for us!

:biglol

You comment on shit you don't know the details of and make yourself look dumb.

Zelensky was asked to wear a suit and the whole deal was all but agreed on before hand and it was supposed to be a ceremonial type of event.

He didn't wear the suit and didn't sign the deal.

Then wanted to ask for security guarantees while on camera instead of what they already agreed about a ceasefire and the minerals deal.

Go watch Rubio and Vance explain it.

Also you get your news indirectly from MSNBC

On tariffs have you see the tariffs that Canada puts on our stuff? Some items are 100s of percents.

Also he wants to get rid of the IRS and ban income tax you didn't mention that.

The fact this whole thing bothers you is fucking hilarious.

Who was offended and acting like a snowflake?

Trump made fun of him a little joking around with him when they met then a neutral reporter asked him about it.

No one else said shit until asked about it then they explained it was a request they had cause it was supposed to be some great press event.

Honestly i think they were trying to do him a favor asking him to wear a suit they wanted him to look better.

Everyone has been like wtf does he dress like that all the time it comes off so phoney.

I am sure they noticed that and were trying to get him some good publicity here and he ignored it like a jackass and actually met with Democrat senators before hand that told him not to sign the deal.

If a friend of yours was having a wedding or a formal event with photos and asked you to wear a suit or formal dress would you show up in a sweatshirt and military pants?

Interesting take. What kind of person would you say is offended by Elon Musk's attire?
(nb4 FESPN calls you a retard for not knowing that snowflakes is one word)

What is Vance fluffier than? Context needed here.

Wait until you meet a Democrat. :biglol

Getting back on topic for a moment...

Considering they don't teach logic or critical thinking in grade school, let me help you out a bit here.

In simple terms, a cyber threat is like someone trying to break into your house. You have a shitty knob lock, and someone breaks in with a credit card. You get a deadbolt, and someone kicks down the door. You put steel reinforcement in the frame, and someone breaks in through a window. Etc, etc, etc. In other words, the preparation is the same for all potential intruders.

The laughable claim from The Guardian, Daily Beast, and somehow less reputable propaganda rags, is that the United States has decided to sleep with the doors locked at night... unless a Russian shows up at 3 a.m. Do you realize how absolutely ridiculous that sounds?

I'm sure the people who cooked up this nonsense knew it was bullshit. But they also know that 30% of the country will believe anything that includes the word "Russia". The useful idiots start frothing at the mouth, pass it along to their useful idiot ilk, and the clicks ($$$) start rolling in. "It’s called reading articles on the internet." :imdumb

:facepalm
