California is a major producer.

California sits on a whole lot of coast line.

If this was an actual serious thing happening, Oregon and Washington might want to stick with Calif since they are a lot alike. That would take away the whole Pacific coast.


Their GDP is the highest for the states, and it’s the 5th largest in the world… but nah, losing that… that wouldn’t hurt us at all.

1. You have California causing people like Pelosi to be in power for 12 of the last 18 years or so where 25 of the 36 trillion debt were created cause she bullied everyone into this massive spending.
2. You would lose a lot of these insane policies like open borders that cost us more money than Californias GDP is practically.

California is some of the best land in the world and had tech established there a long time before they turned insane, you would see a ton of these companies completely move like Elon did. I guarantee you if this happened Google, Nvidia, Apple, FB etc which cause that crazy GDP would move to Texas, FL,etc or most of their money would still be spent and involve the US economy regardless.

I bet if you took those companies out of California the GDP would drop in half.

Those companies, plus Chevron and Wells Fargo, are 25% of CA GDP by themselves.

And let's not forget:
CA's debt is $1.6 trillion, which includes a proper accounting of the state’s unfunded liabilities. In other words, ~$125,000 per household and exceeds the annual GDP of all but 13 countries. And because of the loss of population/businesses and irresponsible budgeting, CA now faces an additional $58 billion state budget deficit in the 2024–25 fiscal year.

Just getting rid of Pelosi and House democrats would save this country a 2-3 trillion a year.

I bet if California wasn't in the Republic we would have never locked down from Covid, they locked down first and that along with the media sort of forced Trump to cave to Fauci since they were broadcasting 24/7 he wasn't taking the virus seriously and was going to get everyone killed.

I don't think so it got that high because they inflated the dollar, the more they spend the more they have to spend on those, social security goes up with inflation, inflation the last 4 years was "26 percent" more like 50 but SS went up 26 percent cause of it.

Keep in mind it has a snow balling effect the more the deficit increases the more inflation increases and the more they have to spend because the dollar is worth less to pay for goods, workers, and services. Also the interest payments are now 80 billion a month. Without that you subtract a trillion there pretty much.

Every year there is a deficit the fed has to print more money supply to pay for it by buying the debt

ACA also led to an increase in taxes*, which offsets some of that spending. Not that I approve of this...

*Dems lied and called them "fees" to get it passed. Never would have passed if they had been honest (also, "you can keep your doctor!" :lolthumb ...and it will be more "affordable"! :ROFL ). SCOTUS later rewrote the law (not their job) instead of declaring it unconstitutional, which it was.
