The Tomorrow War

So critics hated the movie... supposedly. But it seems like a lot of the negative reviews are tied to Chris Pratt's politics rather than the actual film.

IGN's Kristy Puchko, an obvious lesbian just from her Twitter picture, gave it a 3/10 and just hated on Chris Pratt half the time. The companion video on Youtube (https://youtu.be/dKF9ZmsWT5Q) has 3k likes and 7k dislikes.

On Rotten Tomatoes it has a 52% critic score and a 78% audience score. I really, really liked the movie (8/10). I like Chris Pratt, too, and knew him from Everwood before seemingly anyone else knew his name. Most people seem to view it as a good sci-fi action flick.

The movie also led me to the Screen Rant's Pitch Meeting series (https://youtu.be/gzdm_YWwEbA Contains spoilers for The Tomorrow War), which is decent entertainment IMO.

What did you guys think of the movie?

Haven’t seen the movie and I can’t even remember the last new movie that I watched.

We really only watch stuff when smoking outside at nighttime and then it’s either re runs of shows we like or a few other new shows we get into.

However yes you’re right, if you mention Chris Pratt on Reddit then everyone of those fucking idiots start shutting on him because of his politics.

Fucking hypocritical left

Looks like Back to the Future + 12 Monkeys + Terminator

I, for one, will NOT be supporting this heteronormative, patriarchal, white supremacist, nationalist, pro-fascist, toxic masculinity with a cast that isn't even 50% diverse! :earplugs

I keep trying to watch this, but get lazy and watch Always Sunny / South Park reruns instead. :sigh

I'll try again tonight.

I liked it.

If you go in looking for an Oscar performance or rock solid plot line, you’re an idiot.

It’s simply an intense action flick with average acting.

Too long. It's like they took the movie (first 90 minutes) and sequel (last 45 minutes) and mashed them together, half-assing the sequel.

Acting is almost irrelevant in these types of movies.

I felt like I've seen this movie 10 times already.

Still entertaining, in a generic summer blockbuster kind of way.

6.5/10
