Whoever came up with the preorder system is fucking moron. How can preorders be sold out when NOTHING has shipped. That’s fine if I don’t get it right away because I’m down the list but holy fuck let me give you my money for a spot on the list! Idiots :facepalm

Preordering is dumb, dude. Don't do it. All it does is lock you in to a specific store with absolutely no guarantees.

They can sell out because they have a preset amount of consoles shipped to them. Rarely do they get a surprise shipment of more. It's also possible that it's a logical error on the website where it sees numInStock==0 (because none have shipped yet) and interprets that as "Out of Stock," which is technically accurate.
