Problem #1: He doesn't go to Covington HS. He goes to Holy Cross HS... in Covington.
Problem #2: He wasn't "banned" from speaking at graduation. His submitted speech was rejected because a.) it was turned in late, and b.) because it was political. This had nothing to do with him being gay, as the non-gay student body president's speech was also rejected for being turned in late.
Problem #3: Bales is openly gay. He says to date, the school had been supportive.

So the story here is basically: "Yeah, the kids at [rival school] are dicks."
