Incredibles 2: Epilepsy test

So I saw Incredibles 2 on Sunday. It was a good movie, but one part
had a strobe effect flashing quite fast.

I was amazed that producers and studios can be stupid enough to put
this shit in a movie. I'm not epileptic, but I definitely shielded my
eyes for that part. The most glaring example was when hundreds if not
thousands of kids in Japan were hospitalized after watching a brutal
Pokemon sequence involving flashing red, blue, and white lights
extremely rapidly. The episode was banned from being broadcast ever
again.

Otherwise I liked the movie even if it was predictable and slightly
"girl power" themed.

I'm not one to support regulation, but... don't they know the types of things (brightness, "strobe frequency", etc) that can cause epileptic seizures? Could they at least let Hollywood know, and kindly ask them not to do this?

I mean it's a common sense issue: don't put rapidly-flashing lights as
the background of a scene. It affects a lot more than just epileptics:
even most theaters are smart enough to slowly dim and brigthen lights
for the audience. I mean if they slowed it to once a second it would
be much better.

It's pretty dumb that they fucked up something so basic and easy to
avoid. I don't recall many movies with epilepsy warnings.

Overkill validates how bad it really is. I did it on purpose. Hell, could have added 20 or more.
