And how many people did the big pharm companies kill today?

None. They aren't forcing you to take their medicine or forcing you to OD on it

And the NRA didn't force that kid to shoot up a school. But the NRA is getting blamed for it. Same shit right?

A little bit different.

NRA doesn't make any guns, but the same concept. That was my point though.

Big pharma does hold some responsibility while the NRA doesn't hold any.

My favorite are the commercials for pills that claim to have all these side affects and check with your doctor before taking. And those pills are made to make your dick hard. :lolthumb

They might not hold a gun to your head and force feed you painkillers but they sure as shit produce way more of the opiates than needed... wonder why? Because they love profiting on addiction

Because the doctors prescribe them?

Doctors quit prescribing then they have nobody to sell to.

Now of course I know they could do their own restrictions but the tobacco industry and the alcohol industry wasn't trying to decrease their profits either.

:dunno

They have a back up supply in case something happens and they can't produce any for a bit? Don't really need to run out of them, too many people actually need them for real.

The doctor here that told me He wouldn't give me the fentanyl or loratab that I had been on for a decade (not increasing it, just maintaining it), also told me that I should get on Narcan to help me with my pain.

I asked him what it was. He told me it was an opioid. I asked him why the fuck is he telling me to stop an opioid that is helping me and not highly addictive (to me) and not having serious negative side effects, only to tell me to start one that we don't know how it will work and has highly addictive traits and also likely to overdose on?

"That's what they recommend"

I left and never went back.

Spoiler:
The Richland County Sheriff's Department announced the arrest of a school custodian for stealing money from students during the National Walkout Day event on Wednesday, March 14.

Aisha Evans, 32, is a custodian at Richland Northeast High School and has been charged with three counts of petty larceny.

During the student walkout, Evans stole money from three different victims.

As the students were outside of the building, Evans went through the students’ book bags left behind in the classroom and stole a total of $180 in cash, according to RCSD Sheriff Leon Lott.

Richland School District Two released a written statement on Thursday, March 15 saying that Evans no longer works for the custodial service company used by the school.

"Evans was employed by Service Solutions. Richland School District Two contracts with Service Solutions to provide custodial services at schools and offices in the district," Richland Two Spokesperson Libby Roof said.

"On Thursday, March 15, Service Solutions notified Richland Two that Evans is no longer an employee with the company and was informed that she cannot come on any Richland Two property."

After an investigation by the School Resource Officer and RCSD, Evans was charged and transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
