Is it time to have that debate about what's allowed to be put on the internet?

No, because we know how that would end: like Europe, where you go to jail for noting that Muslims are violent. Saying the same about Christians would still be cool, of course.

It's not much different than when tipper Gore wanted words like "fuck" banned, or how people wanted cable banned etc
This is where parents need to step their games up and not buy their entitled little Rugrats everything as well as allowing these machines to raise them too.
All of these devices can be tailored to the age groups. Parents need to take control.
As for your last line, sir. The internet is freedom. It's like people in America that want to start limiting memes and anything that is considered anti-establishment propaganda. People are pushing this in America. Fakebook is beginning it already.

As you say the internet is freedom. But it also can be weaponized with ideology and manipulation which is happening. Just look at the last election. And facebook has gone to shit because of it but yet they still allow a bunch of bullshit to be posted.

So, should we have banned newspapers, magazines, talk shows, NPR, etc etc prior to all of this?
All of these things were just as impacful in their own times. Each generation has had to learn how to cycle through the shit and understand the difference.
Remember when people once burned books? Hell, to kill a mockingbird was just banned in some district in Minnesota.
If people can be easily swayed by reading fakebook? I'd rather they not vote than stop freedom.. sadly, we don't have it tests for Driver's licenses nor voting.
