Let's say you decided you wanted to infiltrate and completely control the minds of a nation. What resources/assets do you think you'd need in order to be able to do this?

For example, would you need:
- control over the media so that you may write the narrative of the present
- control over the school system so that you may rewrite the stories of the past
- control over the financial system so that you can provide incentive to people to go along with your narrative

Does any group have any of these assets?
Does any group have all of these assets?
