Ill just keep the liberal logic in the same thread. :facepalm

Spoiler:
NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York City will install more than 1,500 new barrier posts on sidewalks and plazas to protect pedestrians from vehicles after at least two instances last year of drivers killing people after mounting the curb, Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Tuesday.

The thin, cylindrical, waist-height metal bollards are intended to be a more attractive alternative to the hulking concrete blocks the New York Police Department had deposited in busier areas around the city following the vehicle attacks, de Blasio said.

“We understand what’s happening around the world and we even saw some tragedies here,” the mayor said at a Times Square announcement in front of a line of the posts. Similar bollards were installed in Times Square in 2016.

There has been a spate of attacks on pedestrians in European and U.S. cities by people using cars or trucks, a tactic that the Islamic State militant group encourages its supporters to use. In July 2016, a driver used a truck to kill 86 people celebrating Bastille Day in Nice. Similar carnage unfolded at a Christmas market in Berlin a few months later.

De Blasio spoke within sight of the place where an intoxicated man in May steered a car along sidewalks for three city blocks, killing a young woman and injuring at least 22 people.

Last November, a man was charged with murder and providing support to Islamic State after he plowed down people on a Manhattan bike lane the previous month, killing eight.

“We know we have to do even more to keep people safe,” de Blasio said on Tuesday. The city will spend an additional $50 million on installing the new bollards in busy, high-profile areas and other efforts to protect public spaces, the mayor said.

:420 is still illegal under federal law. It's still in the same classification as heroin, LSD, and ecstasy. According to the DEA, it has a higher "potential for abuse and the potential to create severe psychological and/or physical dependence" than meth, cocaine, or OxyContin. Retards gonna retard. :crazy

Actually, if you look around the world where pot is legal? They're hell holes. No economy, with the exception of protected tourist areas. But pot guy, a lot like soccer guy, will go to the depths of hell to explain why pot is good.

Pot brings no real positive to society as a whole.

I hear Aspen's nice this time of year.

What % of Americans, in your opinion, who do not smoke pot do so because it's illegal?

Most places where it's legal, it's actually not except for legal loopholes in certain areas. I'd guess we rank near the top in access to weed in terms of land mass and population, and I'd also guess we're gonna remain the greatest country in the fucking world. :usa :finger :chaingun

Fuck Jeff Sessions.

State's rights? Fuck 'em.
Freedom of choice? Fuck it.
Kicking the failed War on Drugs back into high gear, ruining countless lives in the process? You betcha!

Democrats will rightly call Republicans hypocrites. They will also use this to accuse Republicans of another form of "voter suppression", as the incarceration rate of minorities for drug crimes is disproportionately high... and they also tend to get harsher sentences for the same crimes. This will get Democrats to the polls, and will get independents to vote Dem as well.

Fuck off and die, you old inbred fuck!

*Personally, I don't give a shit about mj laws, but don't give Dems this kind of ammo with so many big elections in 2018. Dumbass. :facepalm

While I'm against this, at the same time how can you say "don't enforce those laws and let the states choose" unless you also agree with letting the states choose to ignore other Laws that are against the Federal Regulations?

Example "the DoJ will look the other way for marijuana but will go after states wanting to be sanctuary cities"

"STATES RIGHTS!!!"

I'm all for states rights BUT federal laws are still federal laws. We just need to work on getting rid of the ones that are stupid and then letting the states control their own.

Fair point.

I think popular opinion matters here, though. While the majority of Americans support marijuana legalization, an even larger majority oppose sanctuary cities. What needs to happen is for FEDERAL drug laws to change. Sessions sure as shit won't do it, but congress might. I think nearly all Dems would be on board, and enough Republicans would join in to get it to pass. If the Republicans want to keep control of the House and Senate, they might want to do something here.

Not surprised seeing the Carolinas on this list. Why ive been skeptical about moving back to florida because of the growth here.

Didn't Colorado legalize because they were broke and got no help from Obama?

Same for Cali too.

Cali is so fucked.

Water shortages, imported trees burning out of control, illegals given free reign to murder...

And they just jacked gas tax 12 cents per gallon, then remembered all their faggy residents drive Priuses... so now they're trying to tax them per mile. :ROFL

And now all their rich fux are whining that the rest of the country doesn't have to pay their state/property taxes for them. Excuse me while I show my pity... :biglol :moon :finger

They legalized because they're dopes.

Legalized drugs throughout the world show less work, more crime and only higher tourism. The only saving grace, so far, is it's in the infancy stage but numbers more than bear out the above mentioned problems.

What's funny is how pot heads try to manipulate statistics showing an overall crime is down. What they are including in their stats are comparitive annual numbers including pot arrests previous when it was illegal but neglecting to show all other crimes are rising In its place.

It's funnier, yet, that the people that are so he'll bent on legalizing and trying to hide numbers forget to see the cities that are already overcome bynthis, chiraq, Baltimore, Compton, la, Seattle, etc etc these are all brain dead cities that rely on government handouts now, essentially. Big reasons for that migration article I posted.

All drugs make people dumber. All of them. Especially when used without severe moderation.

But hey, let's take an already dumbing down of the count with the horrible education system and compound it with dope fiends everywhere.

Look aa what Muck just posted about cali. How can such a wealthy state be so easily duped?

It's easy, drugs. Mind control by making the masses stupid.

Edit: look at the rampant use in college over the last 40 years. Any coincidence that's the leading charge for this? These kids are dumbed down. Brow beaten by marxists and made docile with pot. Etc etc
