Looks like he lost control going to the ground. I always want the Pats to lose, but that's what I saw.
Looks like he had control when the ball crossed the plain.
This. He caught the ball, landed untouched on his elbow (completed the catch), then "fumbled" after he crossed the plane and the play was dead. My speakers were off and I thought they were reviewing whether he was touched before crossing the plane.
The fake spike after was so fucking predictable. Morons.

It took Nantz and Romo forever to realize what they were reviewing and were questioning why it took so long since it was clearly a TD in their minds. My biggest question is if reaching for the goal line is considered a "football move." If yes, he should be considered a runner in which case the ground cannot cause a fumble.

That's not the rule though. If you're right in the middle of the EZ and have control of the ball for a split second and the lose the football, it's not automatically a TD. You have to complete the catch.
If you don't like the rule, fine. But that's the rule.

I couldn't tell. They also looked like they moved the football right before measuring. Are you sure those weren't ACC refs?

The dude holding the stick slanted it so it was closer to the ball instead of holding it straight up, Gene puts a folded piece of paper between the ball and the stick...this is a reason why viewership is down
