Yeah, probation. Do you realize how many court cases end in plea deals?

"Guilty" with a prison sentence is rarely the outcome. Nolo contendere. Pretrial diversion. Prosecution dropped. Suspended sentence.

That's why it pisses me off when dipshits say athletes get off easy because of some conspiracy. Everyone gets off easy unless they fucking murdered someone, and even then the prosecution has to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.

You want to know another reason why I hate the Second Amendment? I had to say someone who had been arrested for armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and written threat to kill could legally purchase a gun because he didn't get convicted on any of those felony arrests: plead out every single one. He had around 18 arrests. And legally I couldn't say "No, he can't have a gun." And then it's up to the seller to decide whether to sell the lowlife a gun. And that's just if the scumbag went through legal means of attaining one.

A couple Miami(FL) players (at least Alex Figueora, IDK whether Jawand Blue was convicted) can put on their job applications that no, they've never been convicted of a felony, even though they admitted to raping an underage, unconscious girl. Someone I knew called it the Criminal's Justice System, and he wasn't really wrong.

She didn't go unpunished. She fails one drug test (likely), or gets arrested for ANYTHING (even if not guilty) and she's going to jail.
