I'm beginning to like this Romo guy

Spoiler:
After a brief conversation touched on more mundane matters, Simms signed off with: "Don't be nervous. Only 50 million people are watching."

That didn't bother Romo a bit.

"No problem. I got it in the bag."

Romo pretty much did have it in the bag, judging by the reaction of viewers. Oh, sure, it helped that he had a game involving the freewheeling Oakland Raiders and Marshawn Lynch and perhaps subconscious nerves made his voice a little tighter and higher than usual, but he really, really did have this.

He was insightful and, unlike Simms, his calls were spot on as he correctly explained what coaches and players were seeing and thinking in real time.

TL;DR Phil Simms was extra salty about being replaced as an announcer and got roasted by Romo.

The only announcers I am fond of are Gene Deckerhoff, PT Willis, and Keith Jackson. Any thoughts? Any other announcers you love/hate?

How is that roasting him?

"I got this in the bag"

cool that he did well and don't care either way for Simms but don't see how that's a roast.

I read what you posted.

He still didn't roast him unless PS said that Romo was a hack and would fail and all this other shit. :wave2

Keith Jackson was the best.

Gus Johnson's over the top excitement is entertaining enough.
