Driving from Atlanta to Orlando today.

Postby FSUKW » September 8th, 2017, 12:40 pm

I've never seen anything like this. I am often the only car to be seen heading South. The Northbound traffic is ridiculous. I'm not even in Florida yet.

The northbound rest areas are over flowing.

Saw a clip that said Irma is 4 to 5 times the size of Andrew.

Saw a projection today and the center of the hurricane goes straight up the Florida peninsula... it's gonna be bad if that happens

I don't usually buy the media hype but my rental car is loaded with 12 cases of water, 2 cases of ramen noodles, tons of soup, spaghetti noodles and sauce, chips, candles and lighters.

I just stopped in Valdosta to get more water but everyone is sold out.

12 cases of water? How the fuck would you need more than that?

Lets say the worst happened and you couldnt get water for like 5 days, 12 fucking cases would last like 3 months.

I'm just trying to get home before they make all lanes northbound.

Just crossed FL border. I-75 is 3 lanes. There are 4 lanes of northbound traffic....LOL

They are using the inside edge as a lane.

5 days...

I can make soup. I can drink it. Family can drink it. Cat can drink it. Neighbors could be out of water. We can bath and brush teeth if water supply is bad. I can freeze some of it for coolers.

Or, I can have water for a few months.

I would have more if most places weren't out. Water won't go bad.

Andrew taught some of us well. :lolthumb

I had about 5 or 6 of them hanging from a string in the garage when I lived in florida.

Don't forget you can always use the water from the hot water heater tank as well.

Use the tap at the bottom
