any vid i try to watch now is purple and green and i shit you not. not sure if my video card went out of if while trying to update something i screwed my color up. i have windows 8 cus stuff is hard to find. is there any chance my color could have gotten reset? i am screwed with amazon and netflix now......... :blowup

If everything is purple and green (not just vids):
If you have a CRT (fat, non-flat-screen) monitor, a magnet might be your problem. Try to Degauss it in the monitor settings.

Seems like an issue you're having with hardware acceleration, if in fact it's only videos.

Depends on what kind of phone you have but you can take a screenshot and use that pic.

I'm really sorry, Aubie. Your comp definitely has some driver issues, which is the main cause of crashing nowadays. If you have a friend or know someone who has a friend who does computer stuff, ask for them to take a look at it.
My advice: if you're just looking to browse the web and watch Youtube, get a Chromebook. They are cheap, fast, and reliable. At the very least, it's a good backup computer. The downside is it won't be able to install .exe programs.

It is on me fuck. When I was using the site I had to disable malware protection and I believe that was my doom. O think it was close to crashing anyway. O still appreciate the help fuck. And I appreciate the help boune. Lord help me but I am going to streaming soon.I cannot image the fuckups coming butdayem direct TV is gouging the crap out of me. When I get back online I am getting a tower that handles games and a backup. My buddy Earl has a loaded firestick and he gets anything he wants. I am going to check his out and find out where to get a loaded one like blue.

Look into just using Internet and getting a service like DirevTV Now. I signed up for it as they were giving out free Apple TV's when they launched. It's like Netflix being 100% online streaming, but live TV with On Demand. Zero issues with it when I use it to watch a 3rd game, or log in at the office to watch a Bravos day game. I think it's like $30 a month for 70 channels including HBO.
