I'm in favor of the death penalty. As far as "cruel and unusual" goes, spending time in prison isn't adequate punishment for some people. People who burn cats for Youtube videos. People who run over someone and then put their SUV in reverse to hit them a second time. People who habitually steal and maim. Serial rapists. Sociopaths. These "people" are irredeemable and unable to be rehabilitated into normal lives.

In an ideal world, the death penalty would never be appropriate. It's not an ideal world.

I've always thought life in prison (without possibility of parole) was worse punishment than the death penalty. Death is the easy way out. Just ask Aaron Hernandez.

I mean... Prisons today aren't like they were. Some are still shit and I guess if you're serving LWOP (UF UGA game :biglol) then you probably don't get freedoms of the others. Though you can earn stuff by being a good inmate.

You can have an alright life in prison as long as you can live with it.

I myself wouldn't do it because of my pain, and I just couldn't stand my family growing up and me not getting to be with them.

So I would easily want the death penalty, but there are just so many more people who would rather rot away in prison. Though a lot of them want to live on the keep causing trouble too, and that's why the death penalty should happen.
