If Washington wanted to be there, they shouldn't have lost to Oregon (I think it was Oregon). FSU had the best loss, best resume going into the NCG that year. The 2000 FSU team belonged in the BCS NCG more than 2001 Nebraska did. And it's not like that "favoritism" led to a claimed national title. The only teams that have legitimate gripes about being left out of a national championship game are teams that go undefeated.

The NCAA doesn't select bowl matchups or put out rankings. A Miami(FL) fan talking about favoritism. How many times has Miami(FL) escaped the death penalty? The NCAA only knows why Reggie Bush getting a couple gifts is measurably worse than all the shit Miami did for two decades.
