New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram said he, three teammates and two friends were turned away from a London nightclub on Monday for being "too urban."
Via Twitter, Ingram said he, along with New Orleans safety Vonn Bell, cornerbacks Sterling Moore and B.W. Webb and two friends were not allowed to enter Cirque le Soir.

On its web site, Cirque Le Soir is described as "one of the most successful clubs in the world, attracting a galaxy of stars including Lady Gaga, Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Kanye West, Madonna, Jessie J, Princess Eugenie, Will.i.am, Katy Perry, Jude Law, Gerard Butler, Usher, Russell Crowe and Nicole Scherzinger.
"It is tucked away behind an unassuming black door on Ganton Street in London's vibrant Carnaby Street area. And while the entrance may be subtle, inside the circus-themed nightclub is anything but. Guests are treated to a thrilling assault on the senses from every angle, including dwarves, magicians, clowns, sword-swallowers, fire-eaters, burlesque angle grinders to snake charmers, contortionists and stilt walkers among a host of weird and wonderful entertainment.
"It is also famed for its international DJs, top mixologists and dazzling circus decor.
"So comb your lady's beard, iron your coat tails, dust off the top hat and prepare for a night like no other."
Is this what 6 big "too urban" guys look like?! @CirqueLeSoir @TheVonnBell7 @SterlingMoore @OhGi_3Dawg3 @burtleyc @Flintsbadguy #AllSmiles pic.twitter.com/fHjl9mS7Bg

Ingram and his teammates were checking out London in advance of the Saints' game there next season. New Orleans is scheduled to play the Miami Dolphins in London on Oct. 1 as part of the NFL's International Series.
Despite the "too urban" experience, Ingram said he had enjoyed visiting.
