He was drafted in 2000. I don't think he graduated.

So after the 1999 season? I knew he played in the national title game Tennessee won. I guess he was a sophomore then? I thought he may have been a freshman but now I'm not thinking so

1997-1999. Only kicker drafted in the 1st round. :champ Attempted a 70-yarder into the wind in the NFL. Didn't make it, but he can kick the ball fucking far. Aguayo is more accurate but a little less strong, but he can still kick the shit out of a football.

Sorry fucking spic

Missed an extra point and a 41 yard FG. Could of won the game if we weren't down 5 with 4 seconds left.

Edited title of this thread. :meltdown

The pressure is on Aguayo because he was famously selected in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Buccaneers even traded up in order to secure him. Now Aguayo is 15-for-22 this season, a conversion rate of 68.2%, good for dead last in the league. He has also missed two extra point tries on the season.
It's not just his accuracy, but also his distance, that is suffering. Aguayo hasn't been a difference-maker on long-range field goals. He has yet to hit anything beyond his 43-yard attempt against the Atlanta Falcons on Week 1. For the year, Aguayo is 3-for-8 from farther than 40 yards out.
On Sunday, cameras captured a distraught Aguayo mouthing "Oh my God" after his second-quarter miss, while body language from his teammates, also captured by the broadcast, was not encouraging. Aguayo managed to rebound somewhat in the game, hitting his next two attempts against the Chargers, from 27 and 35 yards, as the Buccaneers fought to a 28-21 win.
Since his draft day selection, Aguayo's NFL career hasn't been smooth sailing. Even in preseason play, he had a hard time putting the ball through the uprights consistently. As early as August, it was reported that the Mascotte, Florida native had been consulting a "mental coach" to help him overcome his issues.
His pro numbers have been a far cry from his college days, where Aguayo became the most accurate kicker in ACC history with Florida State, as well as the third-most accurate in NCAA history, making 69-of-78 field goals in three seasons.

After what only can be described as disappointing start to a professional career, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released their 2016 second round kicker, Roberto Aguayo.
While at Florida State University, Aguayo successfully made 69 out of 78 field goal attempts, and also successfully connected on all 198 of his extra point attempts taken. In 2013, he was awarded the Lou Groza Award as the nation’s best kicker.
In the 2016 NFL draft, the Bucs traded up into the second round with the Kansas City Chiefs to selected Aguayo 59th overall. He was the first kicker selected in the second round since Mike Nugent was drafted 47th overall in the 2005 NFL Draft by the New York Jets.
In his rookie campaign, staring all 16 games, Aguayo went just 22-for-31 on the season, which was the worst percentage among starting kickers in the NFL. He only missed two kicks from within 40 yards that year, but was 4-for-10 from 40-49 yard range, and was 0-for-1 from beyond 50 yards.
Going into the 2017 season, the team signed veteran kicker, Nick Folk, to hopefully push Aguayo back to his college consistency – Aguayo had no competition in camp last year, and was given the job outright. After a shaky start in OTAs this year, Aguayo responded with a few perfect days in camp. However, in the Buccaneers first preseason game, he missed an extra point and a 47-yard field goal, both of which became the start of his final demise in Tampa Bay.
