So got an alert that The Snake Stabler died

But it says the newspaper retracted it 2 hours ago, yet this alert came 6 min ago.
Is he dead or what?
And one of the sites that said they retracted it, said they posted on Friday that he died, yet today is Thursday :explode

UPDATE 6:28 PM CT: A University of Alabama spokesman confirmed to FOX6 WBRC that former Alabama quarterback Ken Stabler passed away Thursday, confirming the earlier report from The Tuscaloosa News.

UPDATE 5:19 PM CT: The Tuscaloosa News issued a statement following its report of the passing of former Alabama quaterback Ken Stabler.
"Preparing to report on an unconfirmed but wide and persistent rumor that former Alabama football player Kenny Stabler had died, tuscaloosanews.com inadvertently and briefly published an incomplete story that we were preparing in the event that the story was confirmed. At this time, it is not confirmed. Unfortunately, other news outlets used social media to share the report. We regret the error and any emotional distress caused to Stabler’s family, friends and fans."

Family confirmed, the NFL and tons of players are paying huge tributes all over twitter. Sad day, he was a fucking legend. Dude would party hard all night then come game time, he'd be just as ready to go as anyone. Clutch time was Snake time. :rockin
