Not necessarily. Depends on the track, the car, and driver. If the right car and driver like Hendrix cars and a few others with Jimmie or Gordon, and tony Stewart, get out front on a few longer tracks in the clean open air they can leave the pack.
But if you're talking 2-3 cars > 1 car then the majority of the time that's correct.
