I used to drive a lifted pick up and it was easier to back it in with the mirrors I could judge the space better. With a car...no point

Backing into a spot is better.

It allows for easier access to exit the lot and safer too. In Miami, where people are used to walking or driving mules in their homelands, they often do not care if they see reverse lights and do not want your spot. They won't let you carefully back out. You may get stuck.

As for me, my cars are all dropped, Backing in saves my front end.

Another safer perk, especially In a garage, parking rear end first means your turn to put things into your vehicle. You face towards the patrons. Leaves less chance of someone attacking you when placing items in your vehicle.
