Nobody cares about assists. That's like bragging that you hooked me up with a super model I fuck every night while you go home to :jerkit

But hey, at least you introduced us assist man. :lolthumb

an assist man in hockey is no different than a qb in football

you put your team in position to score, and give the goalscorer/WR a good chance to score

False.

A play in football starts with QB, who distributes the football. Every play runs through him no matter what.

A play in hockey starts with the Center at the face off circle. The Center isn't obligated to pass the puck to any of the 5 other players on the ice (2 forwards, 2 defense, 1 goalie). The Center can score on the opposition without any teammate ever touching the puck.

Good try though. :up

they both distribute the ball/puck to the playmaker who beats the oppositions defense

the difference is QB is glorified while set up guy in hockey is scoffed at

lets compare to basketball, would you rather have magic johnson or allen iverson at point guard

iverson sure can score, but magic can score a little bit and pass like a god

which would you rather have?

maybe the point guard comparison is more applicable than the qb, but to me the are pretty close to the same thing

a guy on the team who passes up chances to make themselves the star for the success of the team

I'd rather have Jordan. Can score at elite levels as well as distribute - create - elevate those around him.

Sid can create - distribute but without Malkin that team is battling for last place.

You can't score 20 goals and be the best (unless you're a goalie or defense) in today's NHL when other players are netting 40+. That's the reality.

ok lets look at another stat

crosby has taken 188 shots this year, and has 23 goals 12.2%

nash has taken 248 shots this year and has 39 goals 15.7%

so yes nash has a better shooting % than crosby but he also takes way more shots on goal....

so dont act like crosby "cant score" he is a pass first player because hes the best in the league at passing, so its best for his team when he passes

he could shoot more and thus have more goals, but he would be hurting his team because he is absolutely the best at setting up

he is more of a magic than a jordan but does that mean he is not great?

I addressed this above. :facepalm It's not my fault Crosby either (1) opts not to shoot the puck or (2) fails to create his own scoring chances compared to players like Nash, Stamkos, etc.

If I told you before the year that your team is going to pay a player TWELVE MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS this year and only get 20 goals out of him, you'd be pissed.
That's terrible, and a terrible cap hit.

Game note: Crosby isn't starting vs the Bruins right now, and 1 minute into the game Malkin just got crushed, couldn't get up and is being ushered off the ice.

He would score more if he shot more

If you are arguing that people who take less shots in order to set their teammates up hurt the team you are an idiot

I'm not sure if you just enjoy repeating yourself and having the same conversation or if you have a mental disability?

"If he shot more" is fantasy. That's like saying if you didn't play Destiny 60 hours a week you'd have a much better shot of scoring in a vagina.

But the reality is, you do play 60 hours of Destiny a week and thus you don't score in any vaginas.

The reality is that Crosby doesn't shoot for whatever reason and thus his goal output is half that of elite goal scorers.

Yet, your team pays him TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS this season. For 20 goals in 80 games. Malkin deserves that kind of money, not Sidney.

he earns his check you retard

and he averages more goals per game for his career than nash, who you claim is the baddest mofo out there

honestly crosby is having a down season by his standards, but he is still in the race for the art ross trophy

that tells you something when you have a down year and you can still win the scoring titile....

If you really believe Sid has earned 12 million this year you're just brain dead.

That's ELITE money for ELITE goal scorers and 20 goals ain't elite bro.

Nash is nearly doubling Sid's goal output for this year and he's doing it for $4 million less.

There's a reason why Nash's team has the best record in the entire NHL and Sid's team is free falling and will be lucky to get a Wild Card berth.

You have a $23 million goalie in net!

Our starting goalie hasn't played for 20 games. Though, our backups have been phenomenal. :pimp

23 goals bro.................................12 million?

Just no.
