That's actually the tail end of not too long road trip. You can leave at almost any point of the day and make it to your destination without being fucked up exhausted. Once you hit 11.5 to 12 hours that starts making them too long.

Is gladly fly them anytime now. Headed home in May for my brothers graduation and gotta drive that sumbitch again

Once every year or two, but when they got the cancer it was monthly for a while and stay for 4-7 days. 10.5 hours was actual door to door time, the last hour and a half were good because it was in the mountains of western NC, but sometimes it would be dark by the time I hit the mountains and that sucked being so dark and tired of driving all day. I had a shit ton of FF miles at the time, but fucking Continental would have me in Houston for an 8 hour layover then fly to Atlanta then Asheville. Fucking phaggots! It would actually take longer to do that than drive there if you count the time you need to get up and drive to the airport. :facepalm
