Vince Vaughn was a more serious actor early on. He was in Rudy and played the bad guy in a movie in the late 90's. Can't remember name, but most of his movies were not comedies in his early career.

Not sure but MAtthew Mc wasn't seen as am interesting enough actor because he played the same roles everytime. Until DBC & TD.

So with the right plot and directors I hope it won't matter.
