ok listen dipshit... When i go to the start menu and select shut down... and then shut down my computer. It is Off. I do not have to shut it down unplug it and remove the battery for it to be off.

My computer was off and I was charging my battery through it, you dumbass.

Standby power: you may have seen a "5v SB" or "5v standby" connector labeled in power supply pinouts. The standby power supply is a 5v line to your motherboard that is always on, even when the computer is turned off.
