I know Callahan and the NYR front office are reportedly miles apart on contract extension negotiations. Rumor has it Cally is asking wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much money, something like $6milloin/yr.

He's 8th on the team in points, 6th in goals, 7th in assists. Though he has only played in 42 games while most others have played 57-59

Imo he is being greedy, he's never scored 30 goals a single time in his career, and 25 assists was his best single season. :dunno

Rangers got buried in expensive, shitty contracts of over the hill players like Scott Gomez, Rosival, Redden and some others that no team was dumb enough to take in trades.

It took almost a decade to get free of all of them, now that they have the team has been way younger and much more competitive.
