It hasn't been voted on or introduced into law, but it is fucking disgusting. This is basically a worse sequel to Repugs requiring you handing over your credit card, driver's license, or a fucking face scan on porn sites. That went into effect in 2025 and it totally fucked several sites. Discord made a similar decision regarding age verification, but it wasn't written into fucking law.

Basically the same thing in California was already signed into law... It goes into effect in January 2027.

RE: FL law: It's not a huge hurdle to let someone watch you in the bathroom, but it's still a gross invasion of privacy. Do you want your ID picture and name tied to what porn you watch? Because it would easier to do with this kind of tracking.
