This is why I hate when people say that targeting shouldn't exist as a penalty. While I can agree that it is occasionally misapplied, it's to prevent crap like this from happening. And yes, I realize that Tagavailoa was not targeted in either injury.

Sarcastaball was an episode all in good fun, but yeah, this game is dangerous considering we've got 250+-pound freaks running 4.4 40-yard dashes into each other.

The majority of targeting calls are bullshit (and I'd estimate that more concussions are sustained in non-targeting calls, and less than 5% of targeting penalties result in concussions), and I still oppose the pussification of football. It's a dangerous and violent game.
